NyAsia and Noah's story started at SXSW in Austin, TX, in 2015, brought together by their love of music, their friend Neish, and a little help from Twitter. NyAsia, covering the festival for XXL, shared clips online from a show that Noah was playing. Noah spotted them and reached out, and what started as a simple exchange turned into a growing friendship. Over the years, the two kept in touch, their paths crossing at festivals, concerts, and wherever music took them.

 

​​​In 2017, fate stepped in again. Both were in Chicago for Pitchfork Festival, unknowingly at rehearsal in the same studio. Realizing they were in the same place at the same time led to them meeting in the lobby, grabbing deep-dish pizza after rehearsals, and talking every single day from that night on.​

​

By 2018, what had always been there finally became official. Even with years of long distance, with NyAsia in New Orleans and Noah between Orlando and Chicago, they made it work, meeting up whenever and wherever they could to travel together.

 

​​In 2020, they both moved to Los Angeles, welcomed their dog Vinny into their lives, and started building their life side by side. Then, in February 2024, just days after celebrating six years together, Noah proposed and they have been planning their wedding ever since!
